Results of Tier 1 and Tier 2 events during residential eviction cases for non-payment of rent. A Tier 1 event is a mediation hearing that occurs after a landlord files an eviction case. If the parties can't reach an agreement in mediation, they proceed to Tier 2, where the case is decided in Civil Court.
